101 Point Wines: Our Ethical Standards

For a critic, nothing is more important than ethical standards. Most wine review sites generate revenue from subscriptions or advertising. Instead, 101 Point Wines borrows a page from medal competitions: All revenue comes exclusively from submission fees.

“It’s important everyone know that I will not be beholden to subscribers or advertisers at 101 Point Wines,” states founder and critic Nevah Herdaheem. "Medal competitions have long accepted this ethical compromise in the interest of making money. I'm simply following their lead."

About Nevah Herdaheem

Nevah Herdaheem is the world’s most decorated wine critic, holding an MS, MW, CSW, CS, FWS, IWS, SWS, Bourgogne ML, Bordeaux ML, Champagne ML, and Loire ML. He has rated and reviewed thousands of wines for some of the world’s most prestigious wine publications.
